In Home Adoptions

Our Process

At Rescue Rovers our goal is to match the right dog to the right family. We take 3 to 4 applications on each dog and speak to all of them by telephone. Meet and greets are set with each family that seems like a good fit. If none of those applicants work out, we move on to the next applications in the queue.
To start, fill out an application
here. If you are interested in a specific dog please be sure to list him or her on your application!
Once your application has been submitted it will be reviewed by a member of our apps team. Someone will reach out to you within 48 hours to let you know the status of your application.
Your approved application will then be sent to the foster family of the dog(s) you’d like to meet. They will be in touch within 48 hours. The foster family will choose the adopter they think is the best fit – usually the dog tells them!
If you are not chosen please don’t be discouraged! Our process is designed to benefit both dogs and humans! Your application is good for 6 months and we are happy to help you find another dog to love. If you see a dog you’d like to meet you can call our main line at 435-565-4031 or email adopt@rescuerovers.org.

Event Adoptions

We have regular adoption events twice a month, as well as special events sporadically throughout the year. You can find our events advertised on our Facebook pageDogs adopted at events are available to go home the same day*. Adoption events are a great way to meet multiple dogs and see who will be the best fit for your family. Foster parents are often on hand to ask questions of.

Apply online before the event to help your adoption go as smoothly as possible. Bring all members of your family – especially the furry ones! It helps us make sure your new dog is a good fit.

*we reserve the right to require an in-home meet and greet or deny applications.

Adoption Fee

Our adoption fee helps us insure that every dog adopted through Rescue Rovers is prepared for their forever home. We vaccinate, spay/neuter, and microchip all of our dogs. Adoption cost varies by age.
Here at Rescue Rovers we believe training is important for all dogs, so we offer a $50 reimbursement of your adoption fee for any dog under 8. Email your training certificate to training@rescuerovers.org. You save a little money and your puppy learns some valuable skills – everybody wins!

Bronto-4.jpg

Hi guys! My name is Bronto and I'm the handsomest guy around. Just look at my incredible coat! I am an almost 4 years old collie mix looking for an experienced leader. You see, I have been working really hard on my self-confidence and trust during my time at my foster family's home. I don't know why, but things scare me more than they probably should. Because of this, I need an experienced leader who has an understanding of nervous dogs. I take some time to warm up to new people and it is important that my forever family have a calm environment. (No little kids or quick movements for me.) I will need on-going training and my forever family will be required to keep building on what I've learned so far. I am, of course, completely house trained and crate trained and I walk well on leash. I already know how "sit" and "down" on command and I'm working on "stay". When I say I need on-going training, that's about bonding, trust and confidence building. Not necessarily learning skills - I've got plenty of those! My personality will come out once I'm comfortable and you'll see that I love playing tug and I like to cuddle. I walk well on leash and I like to jog with my foster dad, too. For the most part I am a calm dude, but when I see a cat I want to chase it. Squirrels, too.  Deep down I'm just a big puppy who wants to play, love and be loved. I just call for a bit of patience and understanding. If you think I'm the boy for you, apply today! https://bit.ly/RRAdoptionApplication
